JAKARTA - Chairman of the Bappilu Democrat Party Andi Arief looks at the political map 2029. Referring to the results of the 2024 presidential election, he predicts the fate of the General Chairperson Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) to the names who have fought. For example, PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin to PDIP politicians Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan. According to Andi Arief, AHY and Cak Imin can gain the support of the people for more than 10 million votes. Both, he said, were included in the category of young leaders.

"AHY, the youngest party leader in the election who was able to get more than 11 million people's support. For the time being," said Andi Arief in his statement, Tuesday, March 26. "Maybe Cak Imin is also relatively young when he led his party (PKB) to reach more than 10 million. Cak Imin already has 11 percent capital to compete in 2029," he continued.

Meanwhile, Anies Baswedan, who is currently 54 years old, is advised to create a new party to compete in 2029. Andi said Anies could run for president again at the age of over 65.

"The age of Anies Baswedan is currently 54 years old. In 2029 it is still under 60 years old. There is still time to establish a political party, to compete in the upcoming legislative elections, then compete at the age of 65 years of the presidential election," said Andi Arief. Meanwhile, Ganjar, he continued, could fight again in 2029. However, said Andi, PDIP must form a coalition. Because in the 2024 election the vote acquisition of the bull party did not reach 20 percent or did not hold the gold ticket to advance its presidential candidate as in 2024.

"What about Ganjar Pranowo? He can still compete in 2029, but in conditions different from 2024. PDIP can no longer nominate itself. Ganjar's bargaining power has weakened," said Andi Arief. Andi assessed that PDIP is no longer an arrogant party because it must be willing to form a coalition with other political parties. According to him, the vote acquisition in the 2024 Legislative Election must be an evaluation of the party bearing the white-nosed bull symbol.

"We will no longer meet an arrogant party. The party whose secretary general Hasto said he would not cooperate with PKS and Democrats. If he is still arrogant, he may not get a coalition in 2029. The 17 percent power must create large introspections," said Andi Arief.

Andi Arief is of the view that the dynamics towards the 2029 election will be very interesting. Because according to him, between political parties will definitely depend on each other and no one will feel dominant.

"In my opinion, the political system and parties until 2029 will be attractive, because parties need each other to build common interests in 2029. No one is dominant and feels strong on their own. Hopefully, they will continue to prioritize managing the people," said Andi Arief.
