Ministry Of Manpower-DPR Will Discuss THR For Ojol Drivers Tomorrow

JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) and Commission IX of the DPR RI will discuss the provision of holiday allowances (THR) for online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26.

"Tomorrow, yes, I have a working meeting at Commission IX. Tomorrow we will provide a more detailed explanation at Commission IX," said Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, March 25, which was confiscated by Antara.

Furthermore, the Minister of Manpower said the appeal to give THR to ojol drivers was good intentions from the Ministry of Manpower, even though their employment status was a partnership.

"Because this is a partnership relationship, so because partnership relationships are not covered. This is actually more of our good intentions, it turns out that these companies provide an incentive or other form that pays attention to these ojol friends," said the Minister of Manpower.

He also hopes that later there will be rules regarding THR, especially those whose working relationship is a partnership.

"We understand that this is indeed not a labor relationship, a partnership relationship, we continue to encourage. Of course the legal basis is the rules, once again it must be understood this is our good intention so that they get attention," said the Minister of Manpower.

Previously, the Minister of Manpower issued Circular Number M / 2 / HK.04 / III / 2024 concerning the Implementation of the 2024 Religious THR Giving for Workers / Laborers in Companies.

Referring to the circular, the Director General of Industrial Relations and Employment Social Security (PHI-JSK) of the Ministry of Manpower, Indah Anggoro Putri, appealed to companies engaged in online motorcycle taxis and logistics couriers to provide THR to workers.

Putri said ojol drivers and logistics couriers still have the right to get THR, because even though their work relationship is a partnership, ojol and logistics courier remain in the category of Certain Time Workers (PKWT).
