The PDIP vote in this year's DKI DPRD legislative election has decreased compared to the previous legislative election. This has an impact on reducing the number of seats obtained by PDIP in the DKI DPRD.

In comparison, in the 2019 Legislative Election, PDIP has 25 seats in the Kebon Sirih parliament. However, based on the results of the 2024 Legislative Election, the conversion to seats in the DKI DPRD is only 15 seats.

"Yes, definitely shocked. Other cadres, yes, that's the condition. Everyone was a bit surprised too," Pantas said when contacted, Monday, March 25.

The chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD admitted that in the internal PDIP survey before voting day, the votes of their party were still quite high and quite different from the results of the recapitulation of votes by the KPU.

"The survey that we did until January 20 is still good. That's why we'll try to analyze first why (it can decrease)," said Pantas.

It is appropriate to mention that there is a possibility that competition in the 2024 presidential election will also have an impact on PDIP votes in this year's election. However, PDIP will still review further to find out the cause.

"Yes, maybe (related to the results of the presidential election). But later, we will officially provide valid information," he said.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta Province has determined the results of the vote acquisition for the 2024-2029 DKI Jakarta DPRD election. This is stated in the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU Decree Number 33 of 2024.

As a result, 11 political parties are expected to qualify in this year's DKI DPRD legislative election. Then, PKS became the political party with the most votes in the 2024 DKI Jakarta DPRD legislative election.

PKS also gets the highest number of seats, which means getting the seat of Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD for the period 2024-2029.

PKS managed to replace PDIP as the winning party in the Kebon Sirih parliament which won the 2019 DKI DPRD legislative election. PDIP is now the party with the second most votes and the third Gerindra.

This is based on the calculation of determining the number of seats using the scientific song method regulated in Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections (UU Pemilu).
