Today, The National Police Chief Leads The 2024 Eid Preparation Coordination Meeting

JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) held a coordination meeting (rakor) across ministries and institutions to discuss the readiness to hold Eid homecoming and Ketupat Operations 2024 in Jakarta, Monday, March 25.

The coordination meeting was chaired directly by the National Police Chief, General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo was also attended by the Ministry of Human Development and Culture (PMK), the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), the Ministry of Religion, the Ministry of Trade, the TNI Commander, the Head of Pertamina, Basarnas, BNPB and many others.

"Coordination meeting for the readiness of the Ketupat Operation 2024 at the ministerial level led by the National Police Chief," wrote the Police Public Relations Officer.

The coordination meeting is scheduled to take place at 09.00 WIB. The Public Relations Division of the National Police has started readiness with the National Police Public Relations Task Force meeting to face Operation Ketupat 2024 led by the Head of the Multimedia Bureau (Karomulmet) of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Pol. Gatot Reply Handoko.

In his direction, Gatot told the ranks that today a coordination meeting was held across the ministry of readiness for Operation Ketupat 2024.

The Ketupat operation was carried out for 13 days from April 4 to April 16, 2024. Involving 145,161 joint personnel consisting of Polri personnel, TNI and other relevant agencies.

"Usually in the coordination meeting, it is discussed the readiness of each ministry in organizing Eid homecoming," said Gatot.

After holding a cross-ministerial coordination meeting, it was continued with an internal Police meeting regarding the readiness of Operation Ketupat 2024 led by the National Police Chief Assop.

The National Police anticipates various things for the smooth flow of Eid Al-Fitr 2024 which is predicted to be 193.6 million people traveling.

Various preparations made by the National Police include preparing traffic engineering such as contraflow, one-way systems and the last alternative for odd-even implementation.

Traffic engineering is carried out on toll roads starting from KM 0 Jakarta Toll Road to KM 141 Kalikangkung, Semarang. Vice versa. Starting when the homecoming flow on April 5 and backflow on April 16.

There are also restrictions on three-axis and above-axis freight transport vehicles on toll roads starting April 5.

The National Police also organizes a free homecoming program to reduce motorcycle travelers by providing 400 buses with a capacity of 20 thousand passengers.
