Xi Jinping Hopes To Cooperate With Prabowo To Build A Future Community

JAKARTA - Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated Prabowo Subianto, who is the President of the Elected Republic of Indonesia. He also hopes that good cooperation will be built to create a community with China-Indonesia.

"President Xi Jinping said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Indonesia relations and hopes to cooperate with President-elect Prabowo Subianto to build a shared future community between the two countries," read a written statement on the official website of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs quoting Antara.

According to the statement, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Prabowo Subianto for his election as President of the Republic of Indonesia on March 20, 2024.

"China and Indonesia are traditionally friendly neighbors, President Xi Jinping shows that with joint efforts by both parties, the development of bilateral relations has been on a fast path, increasingly having political mutual trust, deepening the synergy of development strategies with useful results with mutually beneficial cooperation," the statement said.

Both China and Indonesia are said to have opened a new chapter in building a community with China-Indonesia with a common future.

"As well as providing examples of solidarity and coordination for development among developing countries that have a common future, so that they can bring more benefits to the two nations and provide a strong impetus to regional and global prosperity and stability.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia in KPU Decree Number 360 of 2024 states that Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka is the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 2024-2029 with 96,214,691 votes.

Meanwhile, the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair received 40,971,906 votes, while the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD pair won 27,040,878 votes, bringing the total valid votes to 164,227,475.

Prabowo-Gibran is superior in 36 provinces, while Anies-Muhaimin has won the biggest votes in two provinces. Meanwhile, Ganjar-Mahfud did not win a single province.

The 2024 presidential election was attended by three pairs, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar candidate pair number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka candidate pair number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. candidate pair number 3.

In Article 475 paragraph (1) of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections that in the event of a dispute over the vote acquisition of the Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections, candidate pairs can object to the Constitutional Court (MK) within 3 days after the KPU's determination of the results of the Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections.

The inauguration of the elected pair of Presidents and Vice Presidents is scheduled for October 20, 2024, and previously, October 1, 2024, the inauguration of members of the DPR RI and DPD RI is scheduled.
