Jambi Police Unload Smuggling 2.9 Kilograms Of Shabu

Jambi Police's Narcotics Directorate revealed the smuggling of 2.9 kilograms (kg) of methamphetamine from two perpetrators arrested in Jambi City.

The Director of Drugs and Drugs at the Jambi Police, AKBP80 Seiser, said that in disclosing the circulation of methamphetamine with a total of 2.9 kg of methamphetamine, it started with information obtained from the public regarding drug transactions in the Jelutung District area, on March 5.

"Where members received information from the public that there was a drug transaction and the mode was thrown. At that time they were thrown in the Jelutung District area, members found 1 kg of crystal methamphetamine thrown into mines," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 21.

After getting one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine that was thrown to the location for transactions, the police continued their investigation and pursuit of the suspect. After development, the police arrested two perpetrators along with a number of drug evidence.

"After development by the team, personnel found the suspect with 2.9 kg of methamphetamine evidence, then 10,032 pills of inex, and about five grams of marijuana," he said.

The identities of the two perpetrators are MS (48) and HN (44) who are residents of Jambi.

The Jambi Police's Narcotics Directorate has pocketed the names of other perpetrators suspected of being involved in the smuggling of this methamphetamine. Police personnel are currently still pursuing the perpetrators involved.

"We have pocketed his name and the average perpetrator has been jailed 2 to 3 times," he said.

For this action, the two suspects arrested were charged with Article 112 paragraph 2 or Article 114 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics with the threat of the death penalty.
