PDIP Supports PPP To Sue Election Results, Hasto: Don't Get Lost Because Support Ganjar-Mahfud

The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto supports the United Development Party (PPP) which will sue the results of the 2024 Legislative Election (Pileg) to the Constitutional Court (MK).

Hasto emphasized that this party should not be thrown from parliament because of the ambition of power and different supports.

It is known, PPP had to leave parliament because it got 3.87 percent of the vote from the 4 percent threshold requirement. The party bearing the ka'bah symbol is also one of the four supporting parties of pair number three, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.

"We will provide assistance not only in spirit but also in the data needed by PPP because C1 is from us, right, it is complete enough so that justice is upheld," said Hasto at a press conference at the TPN Media Center Ganjar-Mahfud, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 21.

"Don't let the political operations carried out make a party that is also our neighbor who has traces of a long history of struggle disappear because of the ambition of power," he continued.

Hasto also mentioned that if PPP was deliberately removed because it supported Ganjar-Mahfud in the 2024 presidential election, it would be something that could not be forgiven. This is because the party made by Mardiono has a long history in politics in the country.

"Don't let the ka'bah party be omitted in history because it supports Ganjar-Mahfud. This is complicated," said the Secretary of the TPN Ganjar-Mahfud.

Meanwhile, member of the PPP DPP Court Abdullah Mansyur said that the 3.87 percent of the votes were indeed a shock. So, they are now preparing to file a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court.

"Our internal data results exceed 4 percent and even 4.04. That's why we were quite surprised and once again it needs to be emphasized that the context of the PPP Legislative Election has not been able to receive the results of the KPU announcement last night," Abdullah said at the same location.

"And we will take the constitutional right to file a lawsuit against the Constitutional Court," he concluded.
