The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police thwarted the circulation of lion-headed ecstasy in the Teluk Gong Raya area, North Jakarta. A total of 10 thousand pills were confiscated.

"It is true that we arrested HJL with evidence of 10,000 ecstasy pills in Teluk Gong, North Jakarta," said Director of Narcotics Crime at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa when confirmed, Tuesday, March 19.

The disclosure of the narcotics trafficking effort began with information that a man with the initials HJL often transacted around the North Jakarta area.

With this information, the police tracked and monitored HJL. It didn't take long for the operation target to be captured and tens of thousands of ecstasy pills were found.

The forbidden drug is in the form of a triangle with brown color. In fact, there is the Lion's head logo on the ecstasy.

"We did monitoring, and we arrested him on Jalan Teluk Gong Raya, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. We secured HJL with evidence of 10,000 ecstasy pills," he said.

From the results of the examination, HJL admitted that he was only a courier. Because, he was ordered to take ecstasy in a bag that was in the storage of Superindo Muara Karang's goods, North Jakarta.

"So he was contacted by HN and asked to take a storage card that had been placed in the toilet where Kopi was opposite Superindo, then took the items in a bag containing ecstasy drugs," said Mukti.

Based on the information, HN alias SM is in Thailand. Currently, the police are still digging for information about his figure.

"HJL knew HN while serving his sentence in Nusakambangan. HJL communicated with HN through the Twin Me application," said Mukti.

Meanwhile, HJL is a drug case recidivist, was arrested by the Metro Police in 2014 and was sentenced to 11 years and served 8.5 years, moved several prisons and lastly in Nusakambangan.

HJL's action as a courier was disguised by his job as an online motorcycle taxi. He thought no one was suspicious of the mode he was using.

"According to HJL's confession, he has only made deliverys 3 times and received a wage of Rp. 3 million, every time he takes him away, then he gets an order to put him back (onboard) in the North Jakarta area," said Mukti.
