Moeldoko Concerning Electric Motor Vehicles In Government Spaces, Don't Miss The Roadmap

Presidential Chief of Staff Dr. Moeldoko while chairing the Coordination Meeting for the Acceleration of KBL-BB Policy Implementation at the Bina Graha Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (2/3).

JAKARTA - The roadmap alias battery-based electric motorized vehicle (KBL-BB) roadmap within Government agencies is expected to be completed in the next 10 days.

This hope was conveyed by the Chief of Presidential Staff (KSP) Moeldoko to the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves) as the leading sector for the KBL-BB program.

"This roadmap needs to be formulated and implemented according to the stages. Don't miss it. It needs readiness so that the industry can move, "said Moeldoko while chairing the Coordination Meeting for the Acceleration of KBL-BB Policy Implementation at the Bina Graha Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 2.

According to Moeldoko, the implementation of the KBL-BB policy within Government agencies can convince the public to immediately convert their vehicles to KBL-BB. Moreover, continued Moeldoko, this is a follow-up to the Presidential Decree Nomo 55 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of the Battery Electric Vehicle Program for Road Transportation. Moreover, all Ministries / Agencies to the Regional Government have supported this effort.

"Several regulations are also available in order to support this roadmap. So that it can be executed immediately, although there are still things that need to be realigned, such as supporting facilities and infrastructure. Apart from that, the industry has also started production, ”added Moeldoko.

Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, Budi Setiyadi, revealed that his party has prepared rules for the conversion of conventional vehicles to KBL-BB. This effort was made because the cost of conversion was much lower than building a new KBL-BB. Meanwhile, for its implementation, Budi conveyed that officials at the Ministry of Transportation have started using the Ionic electric car produced by Hyundai and could be an example for other K / L.

Meanwhile, representatives of the Electricity Directorate of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) have coordinated with PT Perusahaan Listri Negara (PLN) in the provision of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU). In fact, this SPKLU can involve the private sector in accordance with the mechanisms and regulations through the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation Number 13 of 2020 which is a derivative of Presidential Decree Number 55 of 2019.

On the same occasion, Deputy for Infrastructure and Transportation Coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Transportation, Marves Ayodhia GL Kalake, is ready to lead the preparation of a roadmap for the implementation of KBL-BB with related Ministries / Agencies. "Especially through a regulatory approach from related sectors. So that the technical implementation of KBL-BB acceleration can be realized, "said Ayodhia.

This coordination meeting was also attended by Deputy I of KSP Febry Calvin Tetelepta, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Home Affairs, Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT), to the Ministry of Research and Technology / National Research and Innovation Agency.
