Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Syafrin Liputo explained the list of destinations in the free homecoming program organized by the DKI Provincial Government this year.

"The purpose of the free homecoming is held by the DKI Provincial Government to 19 regencies/cities in six provinces in Indonesia," Syafrin told reporters, Wednesday, March 13.

The provinces for free homecoming are South Sumatra, Lampung, West Java, Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, and East Java.

The regencies/cities that are the destinations in the 6 provinces include Palembang, Bandar Lampung, Kuningan, Tasikmalaya, Tegal, Pekalongan, Semarang, Kebumen, Cilacap, Purwokerto, Solo, Wonogiri, Wonosobo, Sragen, Yogyakarta, Madiun, Kediri, Jombang, Malang.

Syafrin said that the departure for homecoming in this program is scheduled to take place on April 4, 2024.

There are 259 bus fleets available when the homecoming flow and 210 bus fleets when the backflow is for the community.

In addition, 13 trucks were also provided for homecoming flow and 10 units for backflow. This truck is used to transport travelers' motorbikes.

"Currently, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency is choosing a transportation service provider," said Syafrin.

It is estimated that as many as 18,760 residents will take part in the free homecoming held by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. The overall prediction will be coordinated with the Ministry of Transportation and BPTJ after a coordination meeting is held.
