JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning of moderate to heavy rain accompanied by lightning on Tuesday, for a number of areas in Indonesia, namely South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, Lampung, Maluku, East Nusa Tenggara, Central Sulawesi,

The BMKG also gave the same warning to Bali, Banten, Bengkulu, Jambi, West Java, East Java, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, North Sumatra.

Heavy rains are expected to occur in North Kalimantan and Papua, as well as the risk of strong winds in West Sulawesi.

Most cities in Indonesia are expected to be cloudy, even thick cloudy, in the morning, such as Denpasar, Serang, Bengkulu, Central Jakarta, Jambi, Semarang, Surabaya, Palangkaraya, Tarakan, Tanjung Pinang, Bandar Lampung, Ambon, Mataram, Makassar, Kendari, and Manado.

During the day, several cities are expected to experience rain accompanied by lightning, such as Banjarmasin and Pangkal Pinang. As for DKI Jakarta, the entire city is expected to be cloudy in the morning and afternoon, except for South Jakarta, which is expected to have light rain during the day, night, and early morning.

In the early hours of the morning, all cities in DKI Jakarta are expected to experience rain with different intensity, with rain pouring down West Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta, and light rain in Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands.
