Sirekap's Mistakes In Harming The Anies-Muhaimin Couple In South Sumatra

Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of South Sumatra Province, Andika Pranata Jaya, stated that disturbances to the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) had a negative impact on the vote acquisition of the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair.

"The Sirekap aid tool from the KPU does not function properly and there has been a lot of input errors and the number of votes that are very detrimental to candidate pair number 1 (Anies-Muhaimin)," said Andika at the Indonesian KPU Office, Jakarta, Monday, March 11.

Andika explained that the problems related to Sirekap were one of several important notes submitted by the South Sumatra Provincial KPU during the national vote recapitulation process.

In addition, Andika also expressed objections from witness the Anies-Muhaimin pair in South Sumatra Province who refused to sign the minutes and results of the recapitulation. This causes disagreement with the results of the recapitulation submitted.

Another problem that was highlighted was the violation of the minimum age limit for vice presidential candidates by the pair Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

In addition, the candidate pair team number 3, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud Md, expressed objections to the election process which was considered undemocratic, including allegations of legal engineering, intimidation, and money politics.

"Furthermore, objections to the implementation of unprofessional, non-accuracyable elections, and collectively committing violations," he said.

Until now, the vote recapitulation process for the DPRD in South Sumatra is still ongoing, while the presidential election vote recapitulation has been completed. The vote acquisition from the presidential election shows that the Prabowo-Gibran pair received 3,649,651 votes, followed by the Ganjar-Mahfud pair with 606,681 votes, while the Anies-Muhaimin pair only won 997,299 votes.
