ASN Working Hours Adjusted During Ramadan, Here Are The Details

JAKARTA - Entering the month of Ramadan 1445 H, the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta applies an adjustment to working hours for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN). This schedule applies on the first day of fasting later. "The policy of this working hours is effective from 1 Ramadan 1445 Hijriah which is guided by the Decree of the Minister of Religion," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD), Maria Qibtya in Jakarta, quoted from Antara Sunday (10/3/2024). This policy is contained in Presidential Decree No. 21 of 2023 concerning Working Days and Working Hours of Government Agencies and State Civil Apparatus Employees as well as Circular of the Head of the Regional Civil Service Agency of DKI Jakarta Province Number e-0006/SE/2024 concerning Working Hours During the Holy Month of Ramadan in 2024 M/1445 Hijriah. According to the regulation, the working hours of the ASN Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta during Ramadan on Monday to Thursday are 08.00-15.00 WIB with a break time of 12.00 WIB-12.30 WIB.

On Friday, the working hours of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government ASN (Pemprov) start at 08.00-15.30 WIB with a break time of 11.30-12.30 WIB.

Maria explained, referring to the circular letter, there are provisions for special working hours (shifting) for types and nature of work that directly or continuously provide services to the community for 24 hours. "Special working hours are regulated by the head of regional apparatus or work units respectively in accordance with the provisions of the legislation," said Maria. In addition, the fasting month is not an obstacle for DKI Jakarta Provincial Government officials in providing the best service to residents. "I also urge mayors, regents, sub-district heads and village heads to ensure that services continue to run optimally during Ramadan while maintaining enthusiasm," said Maria.
