The Riau Police Propam examined the Head of the Bukit Raya Police, AKP Syafnil, regarding the death of a prisoner named Dimas Fernada in November 2023.

Syafnil, who was at the airport to meet a guest, asked his members to go to Bhayangkara Pekanbaru Hospital first. When he arrived at the hospital, it turned out that the prisoner had died and an external autopsy was carried out.
Regarding this, Syafnil said he had met Dimas' wife who was at the hospital at the time to find out what to do.
"I found his wife for this case, what can be done. If I want an autopsy, I will pay everything," said Syafnil.
At that time, Dimas's wife said she was sincere about her husband's departure and signed all the documents. The wife wants Dimas to be sent back to Medan.
"Hearing the request, we took care of all the return of Dimas's body to Medan and none asked for any fees," said Syafnil.
