AHY Talks About Democratic Restrictions So Opposition: We Only Criticize But Can't Execute

Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) spoke that his party's limitations were outside the government, aka the opposition. The opposition called AHY cannot execute policies/programs.

"Of course there are many limitations of us as an opposition outside the government. We can only appeal, we can only remind, we can only criticize, but cannot execute," said AHY at the DPP Democrat office, Jakarta, as reported by Kompas.com, Friday, March 8.

AHY said the government policy could only be executed by those who were part of the cabinet.

"Only those in executive institutions can execute pro-people policies and programs that the Democrats have been fighting for," he said.

AHY in a meeting with his party officials asked cadres to help guard Jokowi's government until his term of office ended.

"Together we control so that President Jokowi's government can complete its tasks and programs, it can be soft landing," he said.

AHY asked his cadres to also prepare for the transition of government. Democrats continued AHY also had to help organize the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government program after being declared the winner by the KPU.
