Take Away Passengers' Goods At Bali Airport, Online Taxi Driver Arrested

The Regional Police of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Area, Bali, arrested a man with the initials KMS for taking away his backpack at the Domestic Terminal of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.

This online taxi driver took away William Algat's bag (51) from Denpasar, which contained valuables including MacBook Air.

The theft occurred when the victim arrived at ngurah Rai Airport on Thursday, February 29. At that time the victim immediately ordered an online taxi.

When ordering a ticket, the victim had time to take down the purple backpack he was carrying. After ordering a ticket, the victim went straight to the place where the car was waiting.

However, when he got in the car, the victim realized he forgot to take the bag he left in front of the taxi service counter.

The victim then returned to the domestic arrival terminal and found his bag was missing. The victim also asked Avsec (airport security officer) Angkasa Pura, but his bag was still not found.

The victim also tried to track through the application on his cell phone and detected his bag already outside Ngurah Rai Airport around Jalan Imam Bonjol, Denpasar City.

For this incident, the victim through his wife reported to the SPKT Polres I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Area.

After receiving the report, the Police Chief immediately ordered the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit Iptu Rionson Ritonga and his members to follow up on the victim's report. The perpetrator was arrested
