JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta invited a number of students to resolve the chaos in the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU) data which had crossed out many of the recipients' names.

To dozens of students who are also administrators of KJMU recipients, Naramara Jakarta, Heru promised the DKI Provincial Government would return the rights of all KJMU recipients by entering their names again.

"I make sure that those who have received it on their way to KJMU can still get it," said Heru after his meeting with students at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, March 7.

Heru admitted that there had been a change in the data on KJMU recipients phase 1 of 2024 due to the new mechanism in the use of data sources.

However, after the students complained about it, Heru admitted that the DKI Provincial Government would fix the data collection on the names of recipients of the social assistance for education costs.

"Of course the data matching will continue to run, it's the person to person. The DKI Regional Government will process checking whether they are worthy. That's them while studying, all kinds of things, go ahead," said Heru.

For information, the data source for determining KJMU recipients is now being questioned as well as the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) as of February and November 2022, as well as as as as of January and December 2023 which were approved by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The synchronization of asset ownership data and vehicles is also included in the DTKS update.

Then, the data is matched with data from the Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek) issued by the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas).

DTKS matching with Regsosek is carried out to find out about the ranking of welfare (desil). The decil categories that are still included in the criteria as recipients of education assistance include very poor (desil 1), poor (desil 2), almost poor (desil 3), and vulnerable to poverty (desil 4).

Meanwhile, KJMU recipient students who are now set to fall into the 5-10 decile category or who are considered to be able to be removed from the list of recipients of social assistance for education costs.

The problem is that many underprivileged students are set to be included in the 5-10 decile, so they are removed from the KJMU list of recipients.
