Potentially Brawl, Police Ban SOTR During Ramadan In Bogor

Bogor Police Chief AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro appealed to the entire community, especially Bogor Regency, to eliminate Sahur On The Road (SOTR) activities during Ramadan.

"We have held a meeting that SOTR has the potential for crime, especially brawls, therefore we will make announcements to all people of Bogor Regency to eliminate SOTR," said Rio, Thursday, March 7.

"It is better for us to carry out activities that can provide benefits, for example, recitation or we carry out worship activities in mosques or the surrounding environment. As we know, SOTR has more harm than benefits," he added.

Rio admitted that his party had sharpened locations that had high potential for crimes ranging from brawls, thefts, to several other crimes at night.

"Yes, we have spread to all Polsek, but we provide a priority scale, where we provide a strong point in conducting patrols in order to create a conducive situation," he explained.

What is certain is that the vulnerable locations are in several sub-districts or Polsek, so far we have seen that conditions often occur. Bogor Resort Police never stop taking action to provide a sense of security and peace. I ask all of my friends for help to provide information to us," he continued.
