Investigate Tax Corruption, West Aceh Prosecutor's Office Asks ASN Recipients Of Cooperative Gratification

MEULABOH - The West Aceh District Attorney's Office has asked the state civil apparatus (ASN) within the West Aceh Regency Government to immediately return the incentive money for collecting taxes that had been received so far, related to allegations of corruption in the collection of regional taxes with indications of state financial losses reaching billions of rupiah.

"If there really feels that they have received a street light incentive tax or feel they have no right to receive it, please return it," said the Head of the West Aceh District Attorney's Office, Siswanto to ANTARA in Meulaboh, Wednesday.

He said the refund could be made to the investigators of the West Aceh District Attorney, because the case has now been upgraded to an investigation.

Siswanto said that the alleged corruption case has now entered the investigation stage, and investigators have obtained sufficient evidence indicating that in the distribution of tax collection incentive funds in the West Aceh Regency Government there are strong indications of corruption.

"So, for ASN or other parties who want to return it so they can submit it to investigators," Siswanto added.

He said that the investigation into the alleged corruption case, which is suspected of having caused losses to regional finances, reached billions of rupiah, is currently still being carried out.

His party ensures that the alleged corruption case will continue, and is still conducting marathon examinations of a number of witnesses suspected of knowing or participating in receiving the flow of incentive funds for regional tax collection, which will take place in 2018-2022.

"Until now, we have examined a number of witnesses from ASN, we need their statements in disclosing allegations of corruption that have occurred so far," said Siswanto.
