Cocaine In Statues, Women From Malaysia And 3 Indonesian Citizens Arrested By Bareskrim Polri

TANGERANG - Soekarno-Hatta Customs and Excise failed three drug smuggling attempts with various modes from statues to cigarette packs. There were 4 people arrested. 3 Indonesian citizens (WNI), DS, CP and CD. While the remaining 1 Malaysian citizen with the initials M.

Head of the Soekarno Hatta Customs Office, Gatot Sugeng Wibowo, said the drugs were sent from Malaysia.

"Four people were secured with evidence of 332 grams of cocaine, 18 psychotropic pills, 3 ecstasy pills, 180 grams of magic mushrooms, 56 happy five pills, and 95 psilocin capsules," said Gatot in his statement, Tuesday, March 5.

Gatot explained that the disclosure began with a package of statues weighing 9.25 kilograms from Malaysia which arrived at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang City with the aim of Bali on January 6, 2024.

During the inspection, a package containing the fish statue was found in a plastic bag on the base of the statue containing white powder weighing net 256 grams.

The findings were then followed by laboratory tests with positive results of narcotics Category I type of cocaine. The cocaine to Bali was then handed over to Sub-Directorate 2 of the Narcotics Directorate of Bareskrim Polri.

During a search in the Seminyak area, officers managed to secure a male Indonesian citizen with the initials CD as the recipient of the package in the hotel lobby.

"From this security, the CD is directed by the controllator of the goods to submit the package to the CP as the final recipient and dealer," he said.

His party together with the police conducted an investigation into CP's house in the Bali area. Finally, a woman from Malaysia was found along with evidence of 76 grams of cocaine, 3 ecstasy pills, 8 psychotropic pills, 180 grams of magic mushrooms, digital scales, and 5 shabu suction devices.

Furthermore, Soekarno Hatta Airport Customs and Excise saw a visitor carrying a black paper bag, black backpack, and black electric suitcase intending to go on vacation to Malaysia. However, officers saw irregularities and were suspicious of the gesture. The officer also conducted an examination.

"When the examination was carried out on his luggage, DS had 10 items of psychotropic drug Category IV without being accompanied by a doctor's prescription", said Gatot.

The police again found DS's evidence, namely 56 Happy Five pills on the shoes worn.

Not only that, one pipette is suspected of containing class I narcotics of the used methamphetamine with a weight of approximately 0.2grams stored in cigarette packs.

"DS, which was also examined through urine tests, was also found positive for consuming narcotics," he said

Based on these findings, DS and evidence were secured to Sub-Directorate 2 of the Narcotics Directorate of Bareskrim Polri.
