Regarding The Alleged Inflated PSI Voice, Minister Hadi Asked The Public To Wait For The Real Count Of The KPU

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto asked the public to wait for the results of the General Election Commission (KPU) calculation related to the surge in the votes of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).

"We'll see the results from the KPU later," said Hadi while visiting the Office of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Jakarta, Tuesday, March 5, which was confiscated by Antara.

Hadi was also reluctant to respond to the alleged fraud in PSI votes because the number had suddenly increased.

"Well, that must be proven. Still an assumption," he said.

Previously, member of the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) Idham Holik emphasized that there was no inflated to the number of PSI votes.

"There has been no vote inflated," said Idham in Jakarta, Monday, March 4.

Idham explained, what is inaccurate is the optical character recognition (OCR) or technology that extracts text from images in reading photos of the C1-Plano Model Form or records of vote count results for the 2024 General Election.

"Here the importance of active participation in accessing the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) to convey the occurrence of this inaccuracies," he said.

Idham also emphasized that Sirekap, which is a vote counting tool, is in accordance with the recommendations of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) related to the C Plano Result data which must be curated.

In addition, he emphasized that the official results of the votes acquired by the election participants were based on tiered recapitulation.

"Starting from the sub-district voter committee (PPK), district/city KPU, provincial KPU, to the RI KPU, national level recapitulation," said Idham explaining.
