Israel Reportedly Has Planned An Attack Scenario On Gazans Queue For Assistance

JAKARTA - Israel's attack on people awaiting humanitarian assistance on Thursday (29/2) morning, which killed 118 Palestinians and injured more than 750 others, was planned by Tel Aviv, according to media reports, Sunday (3/3).

Reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Monday, March 4, the incident involved local entrepreneurs who showed concern for the delivery of the humanitarian aid.

Israeli officials, Palestinian businessmen and Western diplomats have revealed that Tel Aviv was involved in planning at least four aid convoys to northern Gaza over the past week, according to a New York Times newspaper report.

Speaking to the daily media, two Western diplomats said they were informed by Israeli officials about Israel's motives behind the action.

The Israeli government has reportedly initiated this effort to resolve the dire humanitarian situation in northern Gaza, where hunger is life-threatening due to the suspension of most international aid operations, diplomats who do not wish to be named.

This suspension comes amid Israeli restrictions on aid trucks and increasing violations of the region's law.

Israeli officials have been in contact with several local businessmen, asking for their help in coordinating the convoy of private aid to northern Gaza, and Israel offers security support, according to two Gaza businessmen.

On Thursday morning, Israeli forces opened fire on a crowd of Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid south of Gaza City in the "Al-Nabulsion Mother" area, leaving at least 112 Palestinians dead and another 760 injured, according to Gaza-based Health Ministry.

The Israeli military said preliminary investigations found that some Palestinians approached a military checkpoint monitoring the entry of aid trucks and soldiers opened warning shots and opened fire on Palestinians' feet that continued to move towards troops.

Israel's later bombings have killed 30,410 people and injured 71,700 others with mass destruction and a shortage of basic necessities.

The Israeli war has forced 85 percent of Gaza's population to flee amid shortages of food, clean water, and medicine, while 60 percent of infrastructure in the enclave has been damaged or destroyed, according to the United Nations.

Israel is being prosecuted for committing genocide at the International Court. The interlocutory ruling in January ordered Tel Aviv to stop genocide and take action to ensure that humanitarian aid was given to civilians in Gaza.
