Foreigners Robbed Of 4 Youths Armed In Tamansari, Police: Perpetrators Target Visitors To Night Entertainment Places

The four young men with the initials CF (22), ASH (24), MJA (28), and ADR (21) were desperate to rob a cellphone belonging to a foreign citizen (WNA) on Jalan Mangga Dua Raya, RT 03/04, Pinangsia Village, Tamansari District, West Jakarta.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered a sharp weapon stab wound to his left hand. The victim reported the incident to the Tamansari Police. After receiving the report, the police conducted an investigation and arrested the four perpetrators.

From the results of police investigations, the four perpetrators have different roles. They also have track records of crime cases in a number of different locations.

The Head of the Tamansari Metro Police, Kompol Adhi Wananda, said the suspect with the initials CF (22) acted as a motorcycle jockey in his action.

"The suspect with the initials ASH (24) abused the victim using a sickle. Suspect ADR (21) was also involved in injuring the victim with a sharp weapon," said Commissioner Adhi when confirmed, Monday, March 4.

Meanwhile, the suspect's initials MJA (28) also acts as a motorcycle jockey. The four perpetrators were involved in several violent theft incidents in several locations in Tamansari, West Jakarta.

The suspect had acted on Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta, Pinangsia Village, Tamansari District, West Jakarta last Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Then on Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta, Tamansari last Thursday, December 21, 2023.

"The other TKP is on Jalan Mangga Dua Raya, RT 03)04, Pinangsia Village, Tamansari on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Then in front of the Royal Reclame Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta, RT 08/04, Pinangsia Village, Tamansari District, West Jakarta on Sunday, February 18, 2024," he said.

In their action, the four perpetrators often partyd with methamphetamine-type narcotics. Their target is young people who are using cellphones on the side of the road who are quiet.

"The target is also people who come home from nightclubs," he said.

The proceeds of the crime of the perpetrators were to buy narcotics type methamphetamine. As a result of his actions, the four perpetrators were charged with Article 365 Paragraph (2) of the 2nd Criminal Code.
