BMKG Predictions: Even Rain Today In Most Parts Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - Most areas in Indonesia have the potential to experience heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds, even 27 of which are set to be vigilant by the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).

On the official BMKG website quoted in Jakarta, Sunday, the 27 areas with alert status include North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Jambi, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, Lampung, Riau Islands, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Banten.

Furthermore, West Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Maluku, North Maluku and Papua.

Early warning of the impact of rain with moderate to heavy intensity also has the potential to target Central Maluku, West Seram, Eastern Seram.

Furthermore, BMKG predicts the potential for rain accompanied by lightning to occur in the Aru Islands and Tanibar Islands in the afternoon. Meanwhile, Jambi, Banjarmasin, Palembang, Palangka Raya is forecast to have moderate rain in the morning.

Then other cities, such as Denpasar, Ambon, Mataram, Kupang, Jayapura, Manokwari, Mamuju, Serang, Palangka Raya, Samarinda, are predicted to have light rain during the day.

Meanwhile, for the DKI Jakarta area, most of the rain is light in the morning, and during the day it rains with lightning with humidity 80-90 percent, the majority are cloudy at night with temperatures 24-30 degrees Celsius.
