TNI AD Rehabilitates Uninhabitable Houses To Build Clean Water Sources In Banyumas

BANYUMAS - TNI AD ensures that it is involved in a program to improve people's welfare. This time the Indonesian Army collaborated to rehabilitate uninhabitable houses to build clean water sources in Banyumas, Central Java.

This activity was carried out in wilaayh Kodam IV/Diponegoro. The procession was held at the Glumpang Field, Tipar Village, Rawalo District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, Tuesday, February 27.

This program is realized with a partnership with PT. Astra International. This program not only focuses on providing clean water and rehabilitation of RTLH, but also includes the development of health and sanitation infrastructure, poverty alleviation efforts, and economic empowerment through Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

With the synergy between the Indonesian Army and partners, it is hoped that this program can have a significant positive impact on the target population.

One of the main targets is to increase accessibility to sanitation services and provide clean water to accelerate the reduction in stunting rates. Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak explained that the Indonesian Army would build 32 water sources and rehabilitate 100 units of RTLH, as well as increase water sanitation.

"The commitment of the Indonesian Army to improve community welfare remains strong, especially in the provision of clean water. We thank PT. Astra and hope that this collaboration can continue, together with support from other parties. The TNI AD program includes providing clean water, planting trees, cleaning plastic waste, and repairing houses," said the Army Chief of Staff.

The Army Chief of Staff also revealed that until now, the Indonesian Army has built 1,900 clean water sources throughout Indonesia, including 100 points in Central Java. The Indonesian Army plans to continue to increase the number to 3,000 points throughout the country.
