JAKARTA - The sole judge of the South Jakarta District Court, Delta Tamtama, rejected the pretrial application filed by Aiman Witjaksono regarding the confiscation of cellphones and several social media accounts by Polda Metro Jaya investigators in the alleged 'neutral police hoax case'. One of the reasons why Judge Delta rejected the request from the spokesman for the Ganjar-Mahfud National Winning Team (TPN) was that the confiscation steps taken by investigators were in accordance with applicable regulations. In fact, the confiscation permit which was pocketed by investigators and signed by the Deputy Chairman of the South Jakarta District Court was deemed legal. "'The confiscation is legal and according to procedures," said Judge Delta. Meanwhile, the petition petitum contained in Aiman Witjaksono's lawsuit, namely, stated that the confiscation process carried out by Polda Metro Jaya investigators was invalid and null and null and void by law. The confiscation is one of the investigative steps carried out by the Polda Metro Jaya in handling cases of alleged 'non-neutral police hoaxes' in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) contestation.
