The five coal transportation were dealt with for violating the Jambi Province national road which is currently being temporarily suspended by the Jambi Provincial Government (Pemprov).

"There is no new instruction yet, the discourse on the road is only planned for the discussion stage. But they can't wait and make their own decisions," he also said.

Actions for coal transportation that violate the rules will continue to be carried out. The police ensure that they will take action against any vehicles that violate the current applicable rules.

Regarding the rules for coal transportation traffic, the Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of the Jambi Police issued a circular (SE) for the requirements for coal transportation vehicles.

The circular (SE) issued was the result of a meeting to discuss the engineering of coal transportation traffic on February 19, 2024 at the Jambi Governor's Office House.

The circular letter (SE) is addressed to holders of IUP-OP permits, IPP-IUJP license holders, and transportation or transporters.

The SE is a requirement for coal transportation vehicles which includes the police number (Nopol) BH, the age of the vehicle is no more than 5 years.

In addition, the valid Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK) and Motor Vehicle Inspection Card (KIR) are complete, vehicle tax has been paid and good vehicle conditions are running.

The requirements for coal transport drivers are also strictly regulated, including having a minimum B1 driver's license, a minimum age of 20 years, good driving skills and not being involved in drug abuse.

This circular emphasizes the importance of corporate cooperation and a shared commitment to sanctions that will be imposed for every violation.

For information, until now the Jambi Provincial Government is still closing access to national roads for coal transportation to pass. Coal transportation is allowed by river to go to the port.
