The National Police received two personnel from persons with disabilities who passed the selection through the 2024 School of Inspector of Personnel (SIPSS) admission. Assistant Chief of Police for Human Resources Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said there were 226 participants who passed the initial stage of the SIPS selection. Three of them are people with disabilities. "Of the three participants who tested this central, until now there are still two people," said Dedi in a statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, February 25. The two people with disabilities have a background in medical undergraduate education and education scholars with competence in the field of technology and information. The two people with disabilities obtained good test results until the final stage, no less than regular participants. The assignment that will be given to personnel from people with disabilities is that one person will serve as a doctor and another person as an operator in the field of information technology. "The work is mostly on staff, staffing, and operator groups," said Dedi. The former Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police added that all participants who passed the final stages of receiving the National Police's SIPS, including people with disabilities, will start their education on March 5, 2024. "At this stage, disabled and regular students are treated equally," said Dedi. The acceptance of Polri personnel from the disability group is the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo's program which makes an inclusive policy by opening SIPS recruitment for people with disabilities. The entry selection process and educational activities of persons with disabilities with regular students are carried out simultaneously. Dedi added that the National Police will also open opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in the education selection for the formation of non-commissioned officers starting this year. "The National Police's SSDM has intensified the socialization of the announcement of the opening of non-commissioned officers recruitment to disability groups," he said.
In 2023, the National Police has received a female police officer with dengue disability who graduated from D3 company management who served as Archives at the South Sumetera Police.
