Inaugurated As The Mayor Of Medan, Bobby Nasution Apparently Has More Assets Than Jokowi

JAKARTA - Bobby Nasution officially served as Mayor of Medan after being sworn in by the Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi on Friday, February 26. Together with their partner, Deputy Mayor Aulia Rachman, they will work together to lead the city of Medan for the next period.

Bobby Nasution is the second son-in-law of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) after marrying Kahiyang Ayu. He is known to be a businessman with a master's education from the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB).

Bobby himself is a very young politician. He is now only 29 years old. However, his political career has been quite successful.

Based on his report to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on September 2, 2020, the man whose full name is Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution is known to have total assets of Rp. 54.86 billion.

This figure was mostly accumulated in the form of land and buildings worth IDR 34.17 billion. Meanwhile, the distribution is located in Jakarta with three locations, one location in Deli Serdang, three locations in Medan City, and one location in Solo.

Then, Bobby is also said to have a means of transportation in the form of five units of four-wheeled vehicles and one for motorbikes with a total value of IDR 1.26 billion. Furthermore, securities of IDR 10.5 billion, and cash and cash equivalents of IDR 8, 92 billion.

Meanwhile, according to the KPK, President Joko Widodo was declared to have assets of Rp. 54.71 billion. This amount consists of Rp.45.6 billion of land and buildings, Rp.647.5 million of transportation and vehicles, Rp.360 million of other movable assets, and Rp.8.92 billion of cash and cash equivalents.

It was also stated that the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia has an obligation in the form of a debt of IDR 861.35 million.

"This announcement was announced with complete notes based on the verification results on April 13, 2020," said the KPK in President Jokowi's wealth report as quoted by VOI on Friday, February 26.
