Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Southeast Maluku Police (Malra) AKPWido Dwi Arifiya Zaen was injured while securing clashes between residents in front of the Terra Shop, Regional Government Housing, Malra Regency, Tuesday (20/2) night. AKP Dwi is currently undergoing treatment at the Karel Sadsuitubun Hospital.

"AKPWido was injured by arrows in his head while trying to block two groups of youths who attacked each other from the Red Light Ohoijang camp with the Regional Government camp," said Malra Police Chief AKBP Frans Duma, Ambon as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 21.

Having received medical treatment at the Karel Sadsuitubun Hospital, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit was referred to Siloam Hospital to lift arrows stuck in the head.

Regarding this incident, the Malra Police Chief appealed to all parties to exercise restraint and fully submit the matter to the police as law enforcement officers.

To all elements of society, he asked to continue to care for diversity, maintain brotherhood, as well as unity and integrity as children of Maluku.

The police chief said that the security and security situation since the 2024 election stage has so far been safe and conducive. Conduciveness can be created on the awareness of all children of the country in caring for diversity and maintaining unity in the King-king area.

"Don't because of trivial issues, security and peace that have been created by being tarnished by one or two people. If there is a problem, immediately report it to the police. Don't be vigilant yourself which will actually harm many people," he asked.

To the acting Regent and all community leaders, religious leaders, traditional leaders, and youth leaders, the Police Chief invited them to be jointly involved in reconciling the clashes.

"I ask the Regent's Office together with community leaders to come down directly to consolidate the area," he said.

Southeast Maluku, said the Police Chief, is an area that has great potential for both natural resources and tourism.

Therefore, all parties are obliged to maintain security and peace so that tourists can visit so that they can bring progress and prosperity to the people.

"If there is a problem, let's respect and respect and resolve every problem with a cold heart and head, and leave the process to the applicable law," he said.
