JAKARTA - Vice Presidential Candidate number 3 Mahfud MD emphasized that all parties should accept the results of the 2024 General Election. Those who are aware of allegations of fraud in the contestation of the five-year democratic party process it through legal channels.

This was conveyed by Mahfud who confirmed his statement regarding the results of the viral election on Tiktok. In the video, Mahfud said the election was looking for a leader not an enemy, so he reminded him to follow the constitutional calendar to guard the results of the vote while still guided by law.

"Is it true below my statement? That's right. That's my statement. We have to accept the election results," Mahfud wrote on his X account accompanied by the video he meant, Wednesday, February 21.

He again explained his statement in the video, he said during the moment of voting for the 2024 General Election.

In accordance with his statement in the video, Mahfud said that there should be no violence if there is suspicion of fraud in the election process.

The path that should be taken faces dissatisfaction with the election results, both the presidential and legislative elections, by bringing the matter to the authorities or through political channels.

"If someone is not satisfied with taking legal action, there should be no violence. Violence is scary. I say that's the 14/2/24 morning before the vote starts. Take legal and political action," he said.
