AHY: The Ministry Of ATR Is Strategic In Increasing Economic Growth

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR)/Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono assessed that the ministry he is now leading is strategic in increasing national economic growth.

"He (Hadi Tjahjanto) said that the Deputy Minister of King Juli Antoni and the ranks of top officials of the Ministry of ATR/BPN are also ready to work together because there are achievement targets including how we complete the target of 120 million plots of land, the Complete Systematic Land Registration program (PTSL), electronic certification, dispute issues that still remain, including how this strategic ministry can increase overall economic growth," said Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono. reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 21.

Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono or familiarly called AHY added that this cannot be done alone. With legal certainty in the field of spatial planning, including land prepared for development, it provides security and comfort for both domestic and foreign investors.

"So that economic growth occurs, creates jobs, increases income and so on, including of course this is a matter of justice where he conveys we must be firm, we must face anyone who violates the law, we want the Ministry of ATR/BPN to be professional in serving and being trusted. This is the motto and hopefully becomes a strength," he said.

AHY expressed his gratitude to the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN for the period 15 June 2022 - 21 February 2024 Hadi Tjahjanto who is currently given new duties and mandates by President Joko Widodo as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam).

"I would like to thank the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo for trusting and trusting us to enter the government as Minister of ATR as well as Head of BPN. I also specifically thank Mr. Hadi Tjahjanto who has been leading the Ministry of ATR/BPN in an extraordinary manner while congratulating you. I wish you success in carrying out your new duties as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs," he said.

He also expressed his gratitude for being so honored at the Ministry of ATR/BPN by the Deputy Minister of ATR/Deputy Head of BPN Raja Juli Antoni and top officials of the Ministry of ATR/BPN which made AHY even more excited.

"Hopefully in the last 8 months I can continue what he has pioneered and run well, and if there are things that I need to consult, I will ask for input and views. God willing, I will learn quickly, hopefully, it will not disappoint because we once again want to contribute," said AHY.

President Joko Widodo previously emphasized that he did not hesitate to give the position of Minister of ATR/Head of BPN to AHY.

The President explained that Agus Harimurtim was the General Chair of the Democratic Party. In addition to his career in politics, the President also highlighted AHY's education in military and non-military academies.

President Jokowi appointed AHY as Minister of ATR/Head of BPN to replace Hadi Tjahjanto, the previous official who was appointed as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.

The inauguration of Hadi and AHY was carried out simultaneously in accordance with Presidential Decree Number 34 P of 2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the 2019-2024 Period set by President Joko Widodo on February 20, 2024.
