AHY Ready To Complete PR Of The Ministry Of ATR, Including Handling The Land Mafia

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) stated that he is ready to complete the ministry's "homework" which he will lead for the remaining eight months of President Joko Widodo's administration.

After being inaugurated as Minister of ATR/Head of BPN at the State Palace, Jakarta, AHY admitted that Jokowi was assigned to immediately complete several priority targets, including encouraging the massive issuance of electronic certificates.

"This can be a solution to various problems, including overlapping (land) and playing of land mafias; and this is also a matter of justice, not only a matter of distributing certificates, but a very fundamental issue of justice," AHY said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 21.

According to his duties, AHY said he would work hard so that the Ministry of ATR/BPN could provide legal certainty, especially for locations and land that would be used to build various strategic infrastructures to encourage investment.

According to him, the Government must be able to foster the trust of domestic and foreign investors to invest in Indonesia so that it can drive the people's economy and open up more jobs.

In addition, AHY also received a message from President Jokowi to immediately complete the target of 120 million plots of land to be registered through Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL).

"And of course we ensure that environmental issues can be a top priority," said the son of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Dalam kesempatan itu, AHY mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Jokowi yang telah memilihnya sebagai menteri ATR/kepala BPNmenggantikan posisi Hadi Tjahjanto, yang secara bersamaan dilantik sebagai menteri koordinator bidang politik, hukum, dan keamanan (menkopolhukam).

"This is a responsibility that God willing, I will carry out as hard as I can, even though we also realize this is not a long period, eight months or less; but I always believe that in any time we can do our best for society and the state," he said.

The inauguration of Hadi and AHY was carried out simultaneously in accordance with Presidential Decree Number 34 P of 2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the 2019-2024 Period, which was set by President Joko Widodo in Jakarta, February 20, 2024.
