Jokowi Gives 3 Targets To Minister AHY, Including The Settlement Of The Carbon Trading HGU

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo gave three priorities that must be immediately implemented by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono or AHY after being inaugurated as Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).

"I conveyed three things to the Minister of BPN. The first, related to electronic certificates, must be encouraged to be more massive," said President Jokowi after the inauguration at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 21.

President Jokowi advised AHY to encourage the issuance of more massive electronic certificates.

The government launched the issuance of electronic land certificates or e-circles in December 2023 to make it easier for the public to print their land certificate documents.

Then, President Jokowi also gave a target for AHY to complete the issuance of Cultivation Rights (HGU) for the carbon trading mechanism.

"The second is for the HGU 'carbon trading', which is related to the PP, immediately solve it because many want to enter," said the President.

Third, President Jokowi also targets 120 million plots of land to be registered through Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL).

Meanwhile, President Jokowi appointed AHY as Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, to replace Hadi Tjahjanto, the previous official who was appointed as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.

The inauguration of Hadi and AHY was carried out simultaneously in accordance with Presidential Decree Number 34 P of 2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the 2019-2024 Period, which was set by President Joko Widodo in Jakarta, February 20, 2024.
