JAKARTA - The MIGrant CARE Organization reports alleged violations of candidates for legislative members (caleg) of the DPR RI for the Jakarta II Election, which include South Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and Foreign Affairs, namely Uya Kuya.
Migrant CARE staff Muhammad Santosa explained that the candidate from the National Mandate Party (PAN) was suspected of campaigning on voting day at the Malaysian Voting Station (TPS) on February 11, 2024.
"I saw more than 5 pm, maybe around 5.15 or half past 6 in the afternoon Uya Kuya was still pacing back and forth in the front area of the WTC Building (World Trade Center, Malaysia)," said Santosa at the Indonesian Bawaslu Building, Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, February 20.
Meanwhile, Migrant CARE Staff Trisna Dwi Yuni Aresta stated that Uya Kuya was suspected of violating Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections which was strengthened by the Constitutional Court's decision Number 48/PUU-XVI/2018.
"In the decision of the Constitutional Court, regarding self-image, it does not separate the sense of self-image that exists in our grammar, namely as a personal picture, product or program of election participants, or self-visualization in the form of phrases, sentences, images or data submitted to voters," said Trisna.
Therefore, he assessed that his party's findings regarding the alleged violation of Uya Kuya, Bawaslu must also look outside the existing legal rules.
Apart from Uya Kuya, Migrant CARE also found allegations of violations committed by the DPR RI candidate for the Jakarta II Election area from the NasDem Party, namely Tengku Adnan.
Tengku Adnan is considered by Migrant CARE to be campaigning with evidence of a banner of himself at home dealing with the Mobile Voice Box (KSK) 045 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on February 4, 2024.
"It is also a campaign outside of the schedule set by election organizers. Those are also points of criticism from us," said Trisna.
The 2024 election includes the presidential and vice presidential elections, members of the DPR RI, members of the DPD RI, members of the provincial DPRD, and members of the district/city DPRD with a national voter list (DPT) of 204,807,222 voters.
The 2024 election was attended by 18 national political parties, namely (according to the serial number) of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Gerindra Party, PDI Perjuangan, Golkar Party, Nasdem Party, Labor Party, and the Indonesian Gelora Party.

Meanwhile, the presidential and vice presidential elections were followed by three pairs, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. serial number 3.
