Sukamiskin Kalapas: Not Plesiran, Mardani Maming Attends PK Session At Banjarmasin District Court

BANDUNG Head of Class 1 Sukamiskin Prison, Wachid Wibowo confirmed that the former Regent of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan Mardani H Maming was in Banjarmasin to attend the judicial review (PK) session at the Banjarmasin District Court.

This statement also answered that Mardani Maming, who is a prisoner of Sukamiskin Prison, was free to roam around Syamsudin Noor-Banjarmasin International Airport (BDJ).

"It is true that the former treasurer of PBNU and the Chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) traveled from Banjarmasin to Surabaya, but this was for the purpose of a review trial (PK) at the Banjarmasin District Court," said Wachid, Monday, February 19.

Mardani H Maming was allowed to go to Banjarmasin, said Wachid, based on the Determination of the Chief Judge of the Banjarmasin District Court Number: 1/Pen.Pid.PK/2024/PN Bjm dated January 29 and the letter Plh. Registrar at the Banjarmasin District Court Number: 437/PAN.PN/W15.U1/HK2.1/II/2024 dated February 06, 2024 regarding the request for assistance in presenting the Corruption Case Trial Number 40/Pid.Sus-TPK/2022/PN Bjm on behalf of Mardani H Maming on Monday, February 19, 2024, took place at the Banjarmasin District Court to carry out the Review Session.

Wachid also explained that the person concerned was not free to roam, but received extra tight escort from prison officers and the police.

The person concerned was asked to attend the trial in Banjarmasin on Monday morning. Therefore, on Sunday night Pak Mardani was dispatched to Banjarmasin under tight guard. Because he could not get a plane directly to Banjarmasin, Pak Mardani had to transit in Surabaya, and vice versa from Banjarmasin had to transit in Surabaya," he said.

Wachid stated that the trial in Banjarmasin was immediately returned to Sukamiskin Prison and the person concerned has now returned to his cell.

"So it's not free to roam around, but to come to Banjarmasin for trial," he continued.

Mardani H Maming is a resident of the Sukamiskin Class 1 Prison in a corruption case of mining licensing. The person concerned was sentenced to 12 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500,000,000, - a subsidiary of 4 months in prison.
