KPPS In Boyolali Dies In Hospital Care

BOYOLALI - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Boyolali Regency, Central Java Province, is again grieving because a member of the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) at the Voting Station (TPS) 06 Gubug Village, Cepogo District, Giyanti (37), died.

"The Boyolali KPU is grieving again because a member of the KPPS in Gunung Wijil Hamlet, Gubug Village, Cepogo Boyolali District, Giyanti, has died after carrying out his duties as a member of the KPPS at TPS 06 Gubug Cepogo Village Boyolali," said Head of the Boyolali Regency KPU Maya Yudayanti as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 20.

Maya Yudayanti explained that the late Giyanti was reported to have died at the PKU Boyolali Hospital, on Monday (19/2), at around 20.00 WIB.

"We, the Boyolali KPU, this Tuesday, are deeply saddened that one of our friends, a friend or extended family of election organizers in Boyolali Regency, Giyanti, died. He is a member of the KPPS at TPS 06 Gubug Cepogo Village Boyolali," said Maya.

At KPU Boyolali, two members of the KPPS in the 2024 election died, previously Didik Wahyudi (54), as Chairman of KPPS TPS 07 Salakan Village, Teras District, Boyolali, on Saturday (17/2). Didik died at RSI Boyolali, also due to fatigue.

The Boyolali Regency Government facilitates social protection, namely with BPJS Employment, so that there is compensation for death for the deceased and also funeral assistance that will be handed over by BPJS.

To date, two KPPS members have died, and 23 members have been sick and five order officers have been hospitalized. Thus, a total of 28 people are being treated at the hospital.

"Giyanto was sick while carrying out his duties at the TPS, then he was hospitalized and previously we had visited him. However, he could not be helped and died. He was on duty complaining of illness and then returned home and was hospitalized. He was hospitalized after carrying out his duties," he said.
