JAKARTA - Residents of Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB) reported the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono to the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) for not responding to the demands of residents to have a dialogue to fight for the desire to live in their previous residence.
"Alhamdulillah, today we have reported regarding the polemic of Kampung Bayam," said representative of Kampung Bayam, Furqon in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, February 20.
He said the data he had was quite complete but there was still something missing, namely a power of attorney from representatives of KSB residents who reported it. "The written letter we once sent to the Acting Governor was never responded to.” he said
Residents will return to the Indonesian Ombudsman to submit the completed files.
He explained that the residents of Kampung Bayam only wanted an open dialogue between the Acting Governor and Jakpro regarding the fate of those who were successful due to not having pocketed the key to Kampung Susun Bayam to this day.
He hopes that after the residents complete the necessary documents, the Indonesian Ombudsman can take a firm stance as a public service supervisor and take sides with the poor.
According to him, after various efforts by KSB residents in inviting the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi had a dialogue, starting from writing to visiting his office directly at City Hall, but the results were not yet available.
He said this was one of the efforts made so that the Indonesian Ombudsman would carry out the task of supervising services to the public.
"The state has a duty to meet the needs of the people and fulfill these needs through public services," he said.
