Kremlin Says Investigation Of Navalny's Death Is Being Investigated, Wife Promises To Find Who Is Responsible

Janda late Alezei Navalny promised to continue her husband's work and find out who was responsible for her death, while the Kremlin said it was investigating the death of the Russian opposition leader.

The Russian correctional agency on Friday announced Navalny died at the age of 47 in prison where he served his sentence. They stated Navalny lost consciousness after a walk in the Arctic Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, where the prison is located.

In an 8-minute speech posted on Alexei Navalny's social media account, his wife Yulia Navalnaya promised to find out who was responsible for her death, ensuring "We will name him."

In addition, she also promised to continue her husband's work.

"(President Vladimir) Putin killed half of me, half of my heart and half of my heart. But half of me are still there and that's my opinion, I have no right to give up," he said.

"No one but ourselves will protect us," he said.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin said investigations into the deaths of the late Russian politician Alexei Navalny were "ongoing" and the results were currently "unknown".

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this in his daily briefing with journalists.

When asked why President Putin had not made public comments about Navalny's death, Peskov said: "I don't need to add anything to what has been said about this topic."

Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny was arrested and imprisoned in 2021, after returning to Russia from Germany, where he was treated after being poisoned in 2020.

Yulia herself plans that on the day she will address 27 European foreign ministers, delivering a "political message on how to support the opposition, Russia's political opposition against Putin's regime," said EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell.
