JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) has confirmed that ballots have been cast at a number of polling stations (TPS) in West Jakarta (Jakbar), East Jakarta (Jaktim) and North Jakarta (Jakut) have been replaced.

"It has been resolved because if it is considered that the ballot paper is damaged, then replaced with a new one," said the Coordinator of the DKI Bawaslu Community Prevention and Participation Division, Burhanuddin, to reporters in Jakarta, Monday, February 19, as reported by Antara.

Burhanuddin said that the DKI Bawaslu found three presidential candidate letters (candidates) and a vice presidential candidate (cawapres) that had been nominated for one sheet each at three regional polling stations.

The ballot is known to have holes after being given to voters at the polling station before voting.

"There are three ballots that have been submitted to the TPS. One sheet each in West Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta," he added.

Thus, the DKI Jakarta Bawaslu did not trace the findings because they had completed it at the TPS by replacing the ballot with a new one.

The DKI Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) admits that it has identified a number of flood problems until ballots are cast at the TPS in the 2024 General Election.

The data, he continued, was based on the results of surveillance patrols in six cities/regencies of DKI Jakarta Province.

Then, hundreds of problems were found in the collection and counting of votes at the polling station. Most of them are 581 flood polling stations.

For all these special events, potential violations were identified such as potential re-voting (PSU), follow-up voting (PSS), and further voting (PSL).

Previously, the DKI Jakarta Bawaslu reminded election organizers who changed the recapitulation of votes to be subject to criminal sanctions in the context of carrying out honest and fair voting.
