YOGYAKARTA - A number of state leaders congratulated Prabowo Subianto for the highest vote acquisition in the 2024 General Election. Although the final results of the recapitulation of votes have not been announced by the KPU, the Prabowo-Gibran presidential-vice presidential candidate pair has excelled in the results of the quick count of various survey institutions.

From the monitoring of the voi.id team at the 2024.kpu.go.id election site on Monday (19/2) as of 13.00 WIB, the data that had entered was 70.92% or 583872 of the 823236 polling stations throughout Indonesia. These results also show that Prabowo-Gibran got the most votes by 58.39%, while Anies-Cak Imin 24.33% and Ganjar-Mahfud only 17.28%.

Russian President Vladimir Putin became one of the great figures who congratulated Prabowo two days after the voting. In a written statement, President Putin said that the Indonesia-Russia relationship was based on mutual respect and succeeded in developing cooperation in various fields.

"Dear Mr. Prabowo Subianto, thank me for my sincere congratulations on your convincing victory in the presidential election," Putin said, quoted by Russian state media TASS on Friday (16/2).

Prabowo Subianto also received congratulations from Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. The leader of the neighboring country spoke directly with Prabowo and discussed the importance of maintaining strong and positive bilateral relations. The two also agreed on the need to see and touch new areas for mutually beneficial cooperation.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte also congratulated Prabowo Subianto on Friday (16/2) or two days after holding elections in the country. The leader of the mill country also hopes that Indonesia-Netherlands will become a country that continues to be friendly.

"I congratulate Prabowo Subianto on the projection of yesterday's Indonesian election results," said Mark Rutte in his X account.

Australian state leaders also congratulate Prabowo for winning the highest votes in the election. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese even communicated directly with Prabowo by telephone.

"I am honored to be the first foreign leader to speak today with @prabowo, who has a clear advantage in an official and unofficial tally, regarding my ambition for the future of Australian-Indonesian relations," Albanese wrote in a post on X.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is also one of the ranks of state leaders who congratulated Prabowo Subianto for the vote results obtained in the election. Anwar Ibrahim spoke directly with Prabowo by telephone. This information was also disclosed by the candidate pair 2 through uploading the Instagram account.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak also congratulated Prabowo for his victory in the 2024 presidential election. The British Ambassador to Indonesia, Dominic Jermey, came to the official residence of the Minister of Defense at Widya Chandra, South Jakarta to meet Prabowo and congratulate him.

"Thank you, Mr. Prabowo, for your hospitality yesterday. It's nice to discuss everything in front and the great things that our country can achieve together. I am honored to convey a letter of congratulations from Rishi Sunak for your success in the 2024 election," Dominic wrote as seen on X.

The United States of America also congratulated Prabowo Subianto through US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller. Although there is no information on the remarks from US President Joe Biden, Matthew Miller has congratulated him. The US PM said he was ready to cooperate with the new Indonesian government.

"We hope to cooperate with the elected President and the next Indonesian government, as well as legislative institutions, to achieve common priorities that are beneficial to the people of the two countries, including overcoming climate change, ensuring a prosperous and safe Indo-Pacific region, and maintaining international stability," Miller wrote in the statement, Thursday (15/2).
