Receiving A Tesla Car, Traffic Corps Plans To Be A Patrol Vehicle

JAKARTA - Korlantas Polri (National Police Traffic Corps of the Republic of Indonesia) received a Tesla electric car grant from the Indonesian Motor Association (MI). This electric car will later be used as a patrol vehicle.

"This electric car can motivate Korlantas, of course, for the future patrol cars", said Head of Traffic Police, Inspector General Istiono in his statement, Thursday, February 25.

The Tesla Type 3 car was planned as a patrol car because it was environmentally friendly and effective, efficient, more economical. So, it can reduce air pollution which is very annoying.

"This is our pride and we will use it as much as possible to serve the community", he said.

On the same occasion, the IMI Supervisory Agency Samsul Bahri, representing the head of the Central IMI, Bambang Soesatyo, said the provision of this Tesla car was a form of support for the police. In addition, this is also to support government programs regarding the transition from fossil-fueled vehicles to electricity.

"God willing, hopefully this cooperation can run well, smoothly. And we are targeted that by 2027 we will switch to electric vehicles", said Samsul Bahri.

For information, the Tesla car is a three standard model, ringsplus, where vehicles can reach a distance of 400 KM with a cash time of 4-6 hours. Tesla model 3 is a fast car class. On paper, the acceleration capability of 0-100 km per hour in the Standard variant is 5.6 seconds, the Long Range is 4.6 seconds, and the performance is equivalent to a supercar, which is 3.4 seconds.
