PSI Optimistic To Win Seats In Senayan

JAKARTA - Member of the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Ratu Isyana Bagoes Oka is optimistic that her party can penetrate the parliamentary threshold and win the DPR seat in Senayan.

"The quick count data only came in around 30-40 percent. PSI is currently in the range of 3-4 percent, with a margin of errors of around 1-2 percent. God willing, if the data is final, PSI will pass the parliamentary threshold of 4 percent," said Isyana as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 14.

Isyana also advised all PSI cadres and candidates to continue to guard the voices of the people entrusted to PSI.

"In addition to guarding national votes, the PSI DPP also instructed to guard the votes that would become seats in the Provincial and Regency/City DPRDs. Don't be careless, guard the people's voices," he said.

Previously, the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep admitted that the party he led could walk into the Senayan Parliament in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

"I'm nervous, but I'm sure PSI can enter Senayan," said Kaesang when giving a statement to the press after distributing voting rights at Pols 063, Taman Rasuna Apartment, Menteng Atas, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

Kaesang said he was sure PSI could penetrate Senayan for the first time because he saw an internal survey showing party electability in the range of 5.1 to 6 percent.

"Our internal survey is 5.1'6 percent, but I hope it can be better," said the youngest son of President Joko Widodo.
