The viral video shows a number of residents storming the Office of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Denpasar City, Bali, located in Renon, Denpasar City, Bali.

Denpasar City KPU chairman Dewa Ayu Sekar Anggraeni said residents who came to the Denpasar City KPU were residents who did not have Bali ID cards and also those who did not have the right to vote in the Denpasar City area.

"So, every election is in such a condition. So, residents whose ID cards are still outside Denpasar and do not take care of moving to vote. In fact, we have facilitated until January 15, 2024 and the next until February 7, 2024, it turns out that they do not take care (a letter of transfer of choice)," said Anggraeni, Wednesday, February 14.

"Today, they came asking to be facilitated in choosing in Denpasar, according to regulations, they can't. If they are not registered with the DPT and don't take care of moving to choose the ID card outside Denpasar, they cannot choose in Denpasar. Only they can choose at the electronic ID card address. That's what was protested," he added.

"If you have an ID card outside Denpasar and want to choose in Denpasar, you have to take care of moving to vote in the KPU, PPK, PPS in the village (and) kelurahan from June 22 to February 7. It turns out that they do not take care of it, something like that that that comes to the KPU every election," he said.
