Bawaslu: Logistics Delivery Of 4 Regencies In Papua Is Blocked By Weather

JAYAPURA - Chairman of Papua Bawaslu Hardin Halidin admitted that logistics shipments in four districts in Papua experienced obstacles due to unfriendly weather.

"It is true that there are several polling stations in four districts whose logistics delivery has problems due to the weather," Hardin said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 14.

Four districts that experienced problems in logistics delivery were Mamberamo Raya, Sarmi, Waropen and Keerom Regencies.

From the reports received, it was revealed that in Keerom Regency there were 20 polling stations located in four districts, Sarmi Regency eight polling stations, Waropen nine polling stations and in Keerom one polling station. The average problem faced is due to weather problems.

"Still waiting for developments from the Bawaslu report," he said.

Bawaslu Papua is still waiting for a report from Bawaslu in four districts regarding the implementation of the vote, whether it will be held regularly today, Wednesday (14/2) or postponed.

"Sampat sore ini belum ada laporan terkait masalah tersebut," kata Ketua Bawaslu Papua Hardin Halidin.

Papua Province has nine and cities namely Jayapura City and District, Keerom, Sarmi, Supiori, Biak, Numfor, Waropen, Yapen Islands and Mamberamo Raya Regency with the number of DPT 727,835 people who chose at 3,109 polling stations.
