Flood Submerged, It's Difficult For South Tangerang Residents To Vote For TPS To Ride A Rubber Boat

TANGERANG - The South Tangerang Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) deployed a rubber boat at Pondok Maharta, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang. The goal is to evacuate and help residents who want to take part in the voting at the TPS.

It is known that the rain that flushed on voting day in Pondok Maharta, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang resulted in flooding up to 40 centimeters.

"The boat, which is already at the location of 2 functions for evacuation and escorting residents to the TPS," said Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of the South Tangerang City BPBD, Faridzal Gumai to reporters, Wednesday, February 14.

Therefore, the voting activities in the area continue, even though they are flooded up to 40 centimeters.

"It's still ongoing. We are helping residents who want to go to the TPS," he said.

He said there were two rubber boats that had been deployed. The goal is to accelerate the evacuation of residents in the flood situation.

"Meanwhile, there are two that have been deployed," he said.

According to VOI monitoring at the location, the Mayor of South Tangerang, Benyamin Davnie, was seen directly visiting the location of the flood. It appears that he communicated with South Tangerang BPBD officers regarding the flood in Pondok Maharta.

It was seen that two rubber boats were carrying residents to a safer place. In addition, there are also those who take them to the TPS to take part in the voting.
