Rain On Voting Day, 3 RTs And 6 Roads In Jakarta Were Submerged By Floods

The rain that flushed on the day of voting for the General Election (Pemilu) caused a number of roads and three RTs in Jakarta to be flooded.

"BPBD noted that inundation increased from 1 RT to 3 RT or 0.009 percent from 30.772 RT and roads increased from 1 road segment to 6 inundated roads in the DKI Jakarta area," said the Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta, Isnawa Adji in his statement, Wednesday, February 14.

He said that his party had deployed a number of personnel to monitor the inundation conditions in each region.

In addition, his party also coordinated with elements of the Natural Resources Service, the Highways Office, the Gulkarmat Service, to suction the inundation and ensure that the water lines function properly together with the local village heads and sub-district heads. Thus, inundation is targeted to recede in a short time.

"The DKI BPBD appeals to the public to remain careful and alert to potential inundation," he said.
