Denying TKN Regarding Money Politics, TPN: No Orders Or Involvement

JAKARTA - The Ganjar-Mahfud National Winning Team (TPN) confirmed that they had never been involved or ordered money politics or money politics in the quiet period of the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

The statement was made in order to refute the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) which had mentioned violations in four areas, namely Wonosobo Regency, Wonogiri Regency, Malang and East Jakarta.

"We deny all these accusations, and we emphasize that there is no order or we have never supported actions that lead to money politics. So that is the position of TPN," said TPN Deputy for Law Ganjar-Mahfud, Heru Muzaki to reporters, Tuesday, February 13.

According to him, if the supporters of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs in the community investigate the alleged violation, it is advisable to immediately report it to the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu).

That way, there is no mutual accusations between parties. Then, even the alleged violation can be followed up immediately.

"So, Bawaslu can carry out investigations, conduct investigations, and we also carry out internal investments regarding this matter. So, and let Bawaslu and invite Bawaslu to carry out investigations into this," he said.

In addition, TPN also asked the public to remain calm and not be influenced by the growing issues. It said Bawaslu would thoroughly investigate the issue.

"While waiting for the investigation process from Bawaslu, we hope that the public will remain calm and respect the investigation process that is being carried out or will be carried out by Bawaslu. There are many possibilities that will occur, including one of which is the possibility of framing," said Heru.
