Administrative Court Rejects TPDI Lawsuit, Otto Hasibuan: If You Want To Sue, Please Sue At The District Court

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo's attorney (Jokowi), Otto Hasibuan, appreciated the decision of the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN) for not accepting the Indonesian Democracy Defenders Team (TPDI) lawsuit against Jokowi and his family regarding cases of suspected nepotism and political dynasties.

"As a lawyer, I am certainly happy because the lawsuit filed by the plaintiffs from the TPDI team was declared not accepted by the Administrative Court," Otto said when met after the reading of the dismissal verdict at the Jakarta Administrative Court, Tuesday, February 13, was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that there were two reasons the Administrative Court did not accept the lawsuit. First, the subject who is being sued in the wrong case because in state administration that can be disputed is state administrative officials. However, the subjects who were sued in the case were Jokowi and Iriana Jokowi personally.

Then the second reason, namely that there has been no administrative effort made by the plaintiffs.

Therefore, Otto said that the lawsuit submitted to Jokowi and his family was an attempt to use the court as a political stage, even though the method was carried out formally.

"This lawsuit is baseless, when a Jokowi and Iriana as individuals can be sued in the Administrative Court? If they want to sue, please go to court, for example the district court (PN)," said Otto.

Otto appealed to the public to be able to see cleverly the various narratives that were accused of Jokowi and his family of political dynasties and so on because this was not proven and even his lawsuit was not accepted by the court.

"We can no longer interpret it ourselves because the court is clear like that, nothing and no lawsuit like this is accepted," said Otto.

The case, which is registered with number 11 / G / TF / 2024 / PTUN.JKT dated January 12, 2024, is a lawsuit against unlawful acts by the agency and / or government officials for the factual actions of government officials, including President Jokowi, Iriana Jokowi, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Kaesang Pangarep, to Prabowo Subianto.
