The KPU explained that the Sirekap application is used by documenting the voting results at each polling station. KPPS officers are responsible for photographing or taking the C Plano form to be uploaded to the Indonesian KPU server.

The C Plano Form is a letter recording of the vote count results of all types of ballots in the 2024 General Election, namely the presidential-vice presidential ballots, the Indonesian House of Representatives, the Provincial DPRD, the Regency/City DPRD, and the DPD.

The Sirekap application has optical sign recognition technology (optical mark recognition, OMR) and optical character recognition (optical character character recognition, OCR). This technology can recognize the patterns and handwriting contained in Plano's C form, then converted into numerical data to be sent to the server.

KPPS officers will verify the results of Sirekap Utnuk's introduction ensure that it is precise with the data on the C1 Plano form. The data uploaded through the Sirekap Mobile application is then collected through the Sirekap Web of each recapitulation result at the sub-district, city/district and provincial levels.
